In addition to the amazing beaches, the extensive biking paths, the wonderful restaurants and the incredible homes on Hilton Head Island we also have sensational fishing opportunities. Having been in the area since 1973 I have been blessed to have spent many days fishing in these waters. While I have had many successful days fishing I would highly recommend hiring one of our areas charter boat captains for you and your family when visiting Hilton Head Island.

Recently I had the opportunity to talk to 2nd generation boat Captain Christiaan Pollitzer of Bulldog Charters. Captain Christiaan Pollitzer shared this report with me.

January Fishing Report: Traveled offshore about 40 miles on the Bulldog on 1/17 for some bottom fishing. The ocean was flat calm all day and we had sunny skies and hungry fish! Ended the day with a limit of 30 black sea bass and a limit of 30 vermillion snapper. Had a few triggerfish and porgys as well. Also released 15+ American red snapper in the 10-20lb range (out of season). A fantastic day on the water with plenty of fresh fish for everyone to take home.

January - April - Offshore bottom fishing from 20-40 miles out for black sea bass, vermillion snapper, triggerfish and grouper. 8hr trip required. - Nearshore reef fishing up to 10 miles offshore for sheepshead and black drum. 4-6hr trip required. - All of the aforementioned fish are terrific table fare.

Whether you are looking for an amazing Home on Hilton Head Island or an incredible day fishing please give me a call. I would be glad to help you with your search or I can also get you in touch with Captain Christiaan Pollitzer.
