Personal
Jody and I reside in Spanish Wells and are proud parents of four children—Andrew, Morgan, Jeffrey, and John David. I have been actively involved in the community, serving on the Board of Hilton Head Christian Academy and currently as an Elder at Hilton Head Presbyterian Church. I’ve also enjoyed coaching Dixie Youth baseball and local youth soccer leagues over the years.
Education & Athletic Background
I grew up in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, and attended The Haverford School before graduating from Dickinson College with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Education. During my time at Dickinson, I competed in NCAA tennis and soccer.
Tennis Career
I moved to Hilton Head Island in 1974 to begin my career as a Tennis Professional at Sea Pines. In 1977, I became Director of Tennis at Shipyard Racquet Club, and in 1981, I helped design and develop the Port Royal Racquet Club and Wexford facilities. I later served as Tournament Director for WCT and World Cup professional events. In 1985, I was named Director of Tennis for Sea Pines, Shipyard, Port Royal, and Wexford.
Real Estate Career
In 1987, I transitioned into real estate with Sea Pines Real Estate and quickly became the company’s #1 sales agent within two years. I am an Active Life Member of the Realtor Distinguished Sales Award, having achieved its highest level.
With over $70 million in sales between 2022 and 2023, I have consistently ranked among the Top 10 Realtors in the Lowcountry. I specialize in oceanfront and deepwater properties, as well as new home construction, bringing a high level of expertise to each transaction.
As a member of the Multiple Listing Service (MLS), I have the ability to list and sell properties both on and off Hilton Head Island, providing my clients with comprehensive market access.
