In addition to the amazing beaches, the extensive biking paths, the wonderful restaurants and the incredible homes on Hilton Head Island we also have sensational fishing opportunities. Having been in the area since 1973 I have been blessed to have spent many days fishing in these waters. Recently I had the opportunity to talk to 2nd generation boat Captain Christiaan Pollitzer of Bulldog Charters. Captain Christiaan Pollitzer shared this report with me.
"We are catching Spanish Mackeral in great numbers. The Cobia bite is starting to pick up on the offshore reefs. We have also been catching some nice weakfish out there too. Bottom fishing about 30 miles offshore has been good with catches of Vermillion Snapper and Triggerfish being strong."
